Admission Process

Admission Process

Apply Online and Join the Althoff Catholic Family

We’ve made the admissions process simple, seamless, and convenient for families. Our online application allows you to complete every step of the admissions and enrollment process electronically—all in one place.

Once you submit your online application and $100 application fee (which covers all enrollment costs, including registration and placement testing), our Admissions Team will guide you through the next steps. You’ll be asked to provide a few additional documents to complete your application packet, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Applying is the first step toward an exceptional, faith-filled education where your child can grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Start your application today and take the first step toward becoming a Crusader!

FRESHMEN

Required documents:

  • Academic transcripts and test scores
  • Teacher and principal recommendations
  • Placement testing
Placement Testing

Our placement test for 8th graders helps us determine course placement in most core subjects: English, mathematics, and social studies. The test is required for all incoming freshmen and is offered throughout the year.  Sign up to reserve your spot!

Next testing times:
  • Sunday, December 7, 1 p.m.
Registration
  • Wednesday, March 18

After the admission process has been completed, you will receive a comprehensive Enrollment Package that will include cost details as well as information on uniforms and orientation. Our guidance department will share course recommendations prior to registration, and final changes can be made at the event.

TRANSFER STUDENTS

Our admission process for transfer students has been simplified to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. We accept transfer students throughout the school year, and the process can be completed in as little as a few days.

Student Record Information

Althoff Catholic will submit a records request on your behalf to your current school, but the information can also be mailed to Althoff Catholic High School, 5401 W. Main Street, Belleville, IL 62226, or sent by email to admissions@althoffcatholic.org. This information must include transcripts, test scores, and any other pertinent information, including, but not limited to, attendance records, discipline records, physical, and immunization records.

Meeting With Principal

Once Althoff Catholic receives your student record information, an in-person meeting may be scheduled between the prospective transfer student, their family, the Director of Admissions, and the Principal. An admission decision will be given during this meeting.

Registration

Our goal is to help our transfer students join our Crusader family as quickly as possible. After the admission process has been completed, you will immediately meet with our guidance department to discuss your graduation plan and your coursework for the school year. Our guidance department will prepare a transfer guide for you that outlines the graduation requirements and your progress.
