Student Council: There will be a Student Council meeting in Mr. Dori's classroom 114 at 7:45 am on Friday morning, January 27th. Please don't be late.

Monday, January 30:
Donate to make a “change” for a family in need. Donate $1.00 or more in change as you enter the school on Monday morning and you can dress “out of dress code” with the theme. The theme for Monday, January 30, is “Twinning”. You and a friend dress exactly alike and at lunch we will have a photo area set up to take a picture of you and your twin.
Also, students can submit a family picture for a display in the catwalk.
***Students will also receive an ICE CREAM BAR at lunch!
Tuesday, January 31:
Children's Book Drive. Donate a children's book for ages 3-14 years (new or gently used) as you enter school Tuesday morning and you can dress “out of dress code” with the theme of “America USA”. So dress in red, white & blue.
Wednesday, February 1:
Dress Uniform for mass. We want to focus on “Faith” on Wednesday. Students will be presenting how faith has helped them in their life. Dress code: Althoff dress shirt, bow tie or crazy tie, hair bow, shoe bows, crazy socks. Doughnuts from Krispy Kreme will be available as you enter school.
***Students receive a doughnut as they walk into the building.
Thursday, February 2:
Donate 1 or more canned goods as you enter school on Thursday morning and you can dress “out of dress code” with the theme being “BEACH DAY”! It may be cold outside, but it is sunny inside Althoff.
***Students receive a Chik-Fil-A sandwich for lunch.
Friday, February 3:
Crusader Spirit!!! Wear your Althoff spirit wear and blue/gold from head to toe!
***Papa Johns will be served for lunch.

DRESS CODE:
STUDENTS: With the weather starting to get cooler, I want to remind you of some dress code guidelines:
LADIES: you can wear navy leggings under your skirts. NO sweatpants of any color should be worn.
OUTERWEAR: needs to be taken off and stored in your locker. The dress code fleeces, crew sweatshirts and sweaters are what is allowed to be worn.
Tennis shoes or closed toe/heal dress shoes should be worn. CROCS, SLIPPERS AND BOOTS are NOT permitted! Thank you.
VOLLEYBALL:
Students come out and support the Girls Volleyball Team tonight as they take on Cahokia. Tonight is SENIOR NIGHT! Freshmen at 4:30, JV and Varsity following after. The theme for students is RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
COLLEGE VISITS:
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: The following colleges are here today: Wyotech at 9 am; Univ of Illinois at 9:50 am; and Rockhurst at 1:30 pm. If interested, please sign up in the main office.
NHS members: There is a clean-up day on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Althoff Catholic from 9 am to 11:30 am. Come and support this beautification effort. Sign up in Mrs. Wilson classroom today and Friday. Thanks for your help! We appreciate it!

Students, the form needs to be filled out completely, and a signature needs to be signed by the administrator of the school where your guest is attending high school. Math team performed well in their first outing of the season. In the individual event:
Freshman: Nathaniel Grime placed 1st
Sophomores: Will Jansen placed 2nd and Mia Robinson placed 1st
Juniors: Braden Madura placed 6th and Emilee Travnicek placed 3rd
Seniors: John Bui placed 3rd and Xander DiGiovanni placed 1st

College Campus Visits
All sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend College Visits on campus. We have reps coming to our campus to meet with our students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now is the time to hear what they have to say. Some of the reps travel great distances to see us and we have had very few students attend. Students should sign up in the main office today for the following visits this week:
Tuesday: Drake University at 9 am; Bradley University at 9:50 am; and Eastern Illinois University at 1:30 pm.
Thursday: University of Nebraska-Lincoln at 9:00 am; Southeast Missouri State University at 9:50 am.
Basic Members:
Please turn in your transportation forms to Mr. Miller at the end of the day today, Monday!
Model UN
Model UN team training meetings will be held on Wed., 9/21. Please be sure to drop by Room 205 on Monday to sign up for which meeting you plan to attend either 3:30-4:45 pm or 6:00-7:15 pm. New members are still being accepted. See Ms. Laws for details.
FCA
FCA will have a meeting in the Cafeteria on Wednesday at 6:30 pm. There will be food, fellowship and fun.

If any student is interested in participating in Math Team competitions, please see Mrs. Stock in Room 105 before or after school this week. Math team competes at SWIC on 4 Mondays after school in the fall. The regional and state competitions are in the spring. The first math team meeting will be next Monday morning at 7:30 am in room 105. Bagels will be provided to participants. No previous experience necessary. Please help us to “fill out” our team, so we can improve our overall performance!
