Attention Future Medical professionals: The Medical Explorers Program is looking for Althoff students interested in attending some hands on events at St. Elisabeth's. The program has planned 2 events per semester for this school year. This is for Juniors and Seniors only. The sign-up window is short, so please see Mrs. Wilson by the end of school on Wednesday, October 4th. The first event is October 12th at 6 pm. See Mrs. Wilson for more information and to register.
Bowling: Anyone interested in bowling, open practices will be held on Wednesdays after school on Oct. 4, 11, and 18 from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Open sessions cost $5.00. See Mr. Michelfelder if you have any questions.
The following colleges will be visiting on Tuesday next week:
Truman State University and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Be sure to sign up in advance or if you have any questions, please see Mrs. Gravlin in the College Placement Department.
Blood Drive: Will be held in Heritage Hall on Monday, October 2. Please see Mr. Dori for any questions. The Blood Drive will be from 8 am - 1 pm.

Here are the official result of our 1st Math Team Competition:
On the individual test:
Freshmen: Eric Bouc placed 5th, Callum McCoy placed 3rd, and Benjamin Tyler placed 2nd.
Sophomores: Nahee Jung placed 2nd and Nathaniel Grime placed 1st.
Juniors: Kayla Kim placed 7th, Will Jansen placed 4th, and Jerry Zhao placed 1st.
Seniors: Braden Madura placed 6th, Mia Robinson (junior playing as a senior...would have placed 1st as a junior) placed 4th as a senior, and Emilee Travnicek placed 3rd.
On the team test: The team of Mia Robinson, Jerry Zhao, and Benjamin Tyler placed 3rd.

Wednesday, September 20th, there will be NO late start. Classes will begin at 8:15 am. We will be running a Half Day Schedule. School will dismiss at 12:04 pm.
Thursday, September 21: Jostens will be in the cafeteria to pick up any Junior Ring Orders and Senior Graduation Orders. Students please place your order with Jostens during your C1 lunch.
The Chess Team will have their first meeting this Friday at 3 pm in the Math Lab, which is next door to Mr. Michelfelder's room. Anyone interested in Chess, is welcome to attend!
Homecoming Dance:
The Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, September 23rd. The cost for entry to the dance is $10.00 and you pay at the door. The dance is from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. If you are bringing a guest, make sure you get a guest permission form from the main office and the forms are also available at lunch. Please complete the forms and turn them into the Main office by Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
Also, the Homecoming Court will be announced at 9:15 pm.

Crusader CRU
Come join the student section at the football game tonight. The theme is COLOR WAR! Freshman should wear red, Sophomores yellow, Juniors green, and Seniors wear blue. CRU leaders and set up volunteers should arrive before the start of the game.
Athletes: Please send your emails out to your contacts this weekend for the Athletic Fundraiser. Keep working hard to raise money for Althoff Catholic Athletics! The Fundraiser ends next Tuesday.
Students: Colleges Rep visits are starting next week. Our first visitor is Kansas State University. The rep will be here on Tuesday, September 5 during 7th hour. Sign up at least 24 hours in advance using the Guidance Google Classroom or stop by Guidance and sign up the old fashioned way - paper! You must get a signed slip from your teacher for the class you are missing.
