Front Office Administrative Assistant
Location: Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville, IL
Position Type: Full-Time
Start Date: TBD
Salary Range: $31,200 - $35,000
Position Overview:
Althoff Catholic High School is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Office Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for our school community. This role supports daily front office operations, provides administrative assistance to school leadership, and ensures a smooth, professional, and hospitable environment for students, families, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, families, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
Answer and route phone calls; manage school email and general inquiries
Help to maintain student attendance records and coordinate early dismissals/late arrivals
Provide clerical support, including filing, copying, scanning, and distributing mail
Coordinate front desk procedures such as visitor check-in and building security protocols
Support the administrative needs of the multiple departments
Manage and maintain office supplies and inventory
Support communication efforts, including newsletters, announcements, and mailings
Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth school operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; associate degree or administrative training preferred
Prior office or administrative experience (school setting a plus)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and general office equipment
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, welcoming demeanor with strong customer-service orientation
Experience working in education, customer service, or youth-focused settings.
Familiarity with Student Information Systems a plus (FACTS or similar)
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion

Girls Head Volleyball Coach
Althoff Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Girls Volleyball Coach to lead our program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mentoring student-athletes, fostering skill development, and promoting sportsmanship in alignment with the school’s Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Girls Volleyball program, including varsity and potentially sub-varsity levels.
- Instruct and develop student-athletes in basketball skills, game strategies, and physical conditioning.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and personal growth within a faith-based environment.
- Lead team practices, game preparation, and in-game coaching.
- Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, equipment, and budget needs.
- Uphold and enforce school and athletic policies, including academic and behavioral expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school administration, and community stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and competitive culture that aligns with Catholic teachings and values.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to upholding the mission and values of a Catholic educational institution.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games as necessary.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Compliance with all school and state athletic association coaching requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience or ability to contribute to the school community beyond coaching.
- Experience working with student-athletes in a faith-based educational setting.
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and sport programs.
