ANNUAL FUND MANAGER


IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

Status: Full-time, exempt employment status

Office: Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville

Department: Development

Reports to: Principal

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF POSITION

Through fundraising and marketing efforts, the Annual Fund Manager supports and promotes the mission and goals of Althoff Catholic High School. The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for overseeing the yearly fundraising plan for the school including the Annual Fund Drive, Major and Corporate Donors, and Special Events.
 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.  The Annual Fund Manager also collaborates with the Principal and Admissions Director for marketing and public relations efforts for the school.  By managing the day-to-day tasks of a comprehensive fundraising program, the Annual Fund Manager ensures that donors and volunteers will gain confidence in Althoff Catholic High School.

Leadership/Planning
  • Supervises Special Events Coordinator.
  • Develop and implement a 1,3, and 5-year Development Plan.
  • Recruits and retains volunteers to serve on the school’s Development Committee.
  • Structure eTapestry donor database to support the school’s current and future fundraising programs.
  • Meets with faculty, staff, students, and coaches to learn about fundraising needs.  Ensures that all fundraising efforts are coordinated through and approved by the Development Department.
  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure that Althoff Catholic is demonstrating outstanding stewardship to our donors and friends.
  • Ensures timely gift processing and acknowledgment according to established accounting procedures.
  • Creates and manages department budget and works closely with Business Manager.
Fundraising
  • Oversees all aspects of the school’s fundraising including the annual fund, special events, and gifts from individuals and corporations.
  • Identifies, cultivates, and solicits individuals and corporations with emphasis on acquiring major gifts and annual fund support.
  • Works with the Principal and Admissions Director to develop and implement a plan to increase funding for scholarships and tuition assistance.
  • Develops and executes a strong Alumni Relations program.
  • Conducts regular best practice development training for key staff and board members.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5-7 yrs prior Development or Volunteer experience.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm, and passion for Catholic education.
  • Computer literacy in donor database management and data mining skills,  MS Office, Google Suite.
  • Must possess working knowledge of social networking connections within the Catholic Diocese of Belleville, IL.

Complexity:

  • Duties involve both administration and public relations functions.  The Annual Fund Manager must be able to make decisions requiring analysis among a number of alternatives and must do so in a manner that provides ongoing support to the mission of Althoff Catholic High School.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Willing to travel to visit prospective donors.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR QUANTIFIABLE MEASURES

The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding established annual fundraising goals.  This position requires confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail in all matters.

Secondary Language Instructor

Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, Illinois is now accepting applications for a Spanish Instructor. This is a full-time position for the 2022-23 school year. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who is committed to the mastery of the language.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a teaching certificate. Experience using technology in the classroom. Strong classroom management skills. Pass a background check. The candidate must be willing to meet all Diocesan requirements.

Part-Time Custodian

Althoff Catholic is seeking a dependable individual interested in a part-time evening custodial position.  This position is responsible for general care and cleaning of the school.  Custodians will work consistently to provide a clean, hazard-free, and safe environment for staff and students.

This position is approximately 25-30 hrs per week.  Interested applicants should stop by the main office to obtain an employment application.
