Come out and support the boys basketball team as they play Centralia at home Friday night. And the girls Basketball team will play Belleville West at home on Saturday night at 6 pm.

Christmas Ball tickets will be on sale Monday, Dec. 11 thru Friday, Dec. 15 during C1 and C2 lunch periods.  The cost will be $10.00 per ticket or a special rate of $20.00 per couple.

Students:  We are looking for volunteers to help at the Dance Competition this Saturday at ACHS.  Please see Mrs. Tepen.  for the sign-up sheet.  Please get your friends together and support the Althoff Dance Team.

The Scholar Bowl Team is hosting 3 matches on 12/14, 1/4 and 2/1.  We are looking for volunteers to keep score during the matches.  If you would like to earn service hours, please sign up on the sign up sheets located outside Mr. Kelley an Ms. Feist's rooms.

NHS Sock Drive: Deadline is next Friday, Dec. 15th.  Please consider donating unworn socks to those in need. You can place sock donations in the box in your first hour class or to Mr. Keeley in Room 212.

there will be an informational meeting in room 303 on Tuesday, Dec. 12th at 7;45 am. regarding interest on the formation of a WYSE team fro ACHS. This is an academic challenge in which we have successfully participated in the past. Please join us to find out more about the WYSE team.  If you cannot attend, but may be interested in participating, please see Mrs. Luetkenhaus.

There will be an informational meeting for any girl interested in Girls Track  Field this year. The meeting will be Wed., Dec. 13th after school at 3:15 in the cafeteria. If you are interested in running, jumping, and/or throwing, please join us.

Congrats to the Boys Varsity bowling team who won their match last night against Cahokia. Congrats to the bowlers for their high series games:  Daniel Hummel 657, John Leshikar 659, Zach Leshikar with a 669. And grats to Freshman Kaden Hearn who scored 184. Great job gentlemen!

We will leave at 3:15 and should be back to school no later than 4:45.  If you can help, have questions, or need a permission slip, please stop by Mrs. Robinson's room 318.  The more volunteers we have, the less time it will take.

The following colleges will be here on:

11/8:     Wed:  Bradley University at 1 pm and Illinois Wesleyan at 1;45 pm

If you are interested in attending a college visit, please sign up in the College Placement Department.

There is a Model UN training meeting today in room 205 from 3:30 - 5 pm. All members are expected to attend except the 4 members who are working the band concert.  Play practice tonight is from 6-8:30 pm in room 205. All cast members are expected to attend.  The 8 cast members who are working the band concert should plan to attend as soon as the concert is over. Students will be excused after their scenes are completed tonight.  There is stage crew on Thursday from 3:30-5 pm and play practice for all actors on Thursday from 6-8:30 pm.

Catholic Belleville Area Youth (Known as C-BAY) will be attending the 10:30 am Mass at St. Mary's on this Sunday, October 1st, followed by lunch at Papa Vito's and then they will be participating in the annual Life Chain in Fairview Heights.  All are welcome. For more information see Mr. Bouc.

Congratulations to the girls golf team on winning the South 7 Conference Tournament.  Also, congratulations to the five individuals that were named All Conference:  Tia Kimbrough, Megan Lewis, Maggie Tiernan, Kendyl Santos and Annie Pusa!

Congrats to the Cross Country Runners in the Jersey High School Invitational this last Monday.  The girls placed 3rd and the boys 7th!  our next run will be at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
