French Club will have a fondue and painting party from 5 to 6 pm Thursday evening. Bring something to dip in chocolate.  Please enter by the doors by the advancement office closest to St. Henry Rectory.

Congratulations to Audrey Beyersdorfer and Michael Reitano for successfully auditioning into the IMEA District music Festival next month. The festival will be held on November 18 on the SIUC Campus.

Reminder to all band students, there will be NO rehearsal tonight!

All current and new yearbook members:  there will be a mandatory meeting today, Oct. 12th in the yearbook room on the 3rd floor at 3:15 pm.. Please make plans to attend or contact Mrs. Smith if you have a conflict since it is a mandatory meeting.

Congrats to Megan Scheibel for receiving her Girl Scout Gold Award over the weekend. Megan completed her project, an antibully camp for grade schoolers, over the summer.

Math team had their second competition last night. Freshmen, Matthew Feder earned 1st place. Sophomore, Carlo Amorado - 8th and Edward Nooney - 6th. Seniors, Jessica Hoffman - 6th and Nick Petty a 1st place. The team of Nick Petty, Elise Conrad, Edward Nooney, and Matthew Feder also earned a 1st place!  Way to go Mathletes!

Meditation group has been postponed indefinitely.  Please see Mr. Woesthaus if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the girls golf team on winning the South 7 Conference Tournament.  Also, congratulations to the five individuals that were named All Conference:  Tia Kimbrough, Megan Lewis, Maggie Tiernan, Kendyl Santos and Annie Pusa!

Congrats to the Cross Country Runners in the Jersey High School Invitational this last Monday.  The girls placed 3rd and the boys 7th!  our next run will be at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.

Congrats to the Althoff Catholic Cross Country Runners that ran last Saturday at Freeburg Cross Country Invitational.  The girls dealt with the heat again for this race with the team taking 7th out of 15 teams and were the fifth 1A school across the line missing 3rd by only seconds in average time. Tiffany Siekmann ranked in the top 10 with a 9th place finish and the other four scorers got under the top 55 out of 132 runners!  The boys were next and the heat didn't let us, but four of them persevered with John Leshikar leading as he ran 19 minutes and 26 seconds. Congrats again Cross Country Crusaders!

Congrats to the Girls Cross Country Team as they placed 2nd in the Belleville City Meet. Tiffani Siekmann took 3rd and Lucy Haas took 8th!  Jon Dori lead the way on the boys Cross Country Runners by dipping under 20 minutes on the tough course. Congrats Cross Country Runners!

The ACHS Math Team had their first competition and performed very well. We had 8 students place in the top 8 of their respective classes. Freshmen: Kalia Jerkatis-7th place and Matt Feder-1st place. Sophomores: Edward Nooney-7 place and Ethan Werner-3rd. Juniors: Michal Miller-8th place and Mitchell Kidd-5th. Seniors: Jessica Hoffman-6th place and Nick Petty-1st place. The team also earned a 2nd place for the team test. Way to go Mathletes!

There will be a Rotary meeting on Thursday, Sept 21 at 7:50 in Heritage Hall. New members are welcome.

Come and out support the girls' volleyball team at home tonight at 6:45 pm. as they play Edwardsville. The team is 17-0 and this should be a great

Congrats to the ACHS Cross Country Runners that ran this past Saturday at Mascoutah Invitational!  The girls and boys both took 2nd place.  The City Meet is Tomorrow, Tuesday, at 4:30 at Belleville West.  Please take some time and swing by to show them some support!

This Friday morning Althoff Catholic High School will be the featured school on the FOX2Pepzone. We want all students dressed in blue and gold and to arrive at the Althoff gym by 6 AM.  Let's show our Crusader spirit!

Congrats to the Cross Country Runners that raced last Saturday at the Granite city Cross Country Invitational!  The girls took 3rd place and the boys finished 8th place amongst all 1A schools present.  Best part is that 10 personal records and 18 season bests were set at this meet.

Tavern on Main's Student of the Week is Natalyn Gorazd!

Congrats to our Lady Crusaders Cross Country team as they fought strong for a 4th place finish of 20 schools at the New Athens Cross Country Invitational. Our top 7 girls finished in the top 45 for medals, placing 3 of our scorers in the top 25...about 150 girls were competing!

Congrats to our Guy Crusaders as they ran to a 14th place finish of 22 schools and are setting new standards for the Althoff Catholic Cross Country Team.  The competition was fierce as more than 240 boys were competing and we had 3 of the boys placing in the top 75 for medals.  The Team will be racing again at SIUE on Saturday.

NETwork Against Malaria will have their meeting next Tuesday, Aug. 29th at 7:45 in room 303.  All are welcome to attend and find out what NETwork is all about.

Mr. Hayden's Jazz Band will start this Thursday.  Any band member interested in joining should be in the band room at 7:15 am Thursday morning.  Mixed chorus will begin next Thursday, 8/31 at 7:15 am.

Any Freshmen wanting to take band should talk to Mr. Hayden or Mr. Ryne Harris asap. Students with no previous band experience are welcome if they would like to learn to play a wind or percussion instrument.

Yearbooks from last school year are available in Mrs. Smith's Room 210. If you ordered one last year, you may pick it up before or after school or during your lunch hour. Please NOT during class time.  If you did not purchase a yearbook but would like to, please bring cash or a check for $73.00.

The Student Ambassador program overview and application were sent to each student's e-mail.  All applications are due by the end of the week, Friday, August 25th at 3 pm.  You can turn in your application to Mrs. Jeffers in the Main Office, Mrs. Tepen at the Student Communications Window, or to the Main Office ladies.

There will be a Student Council Meeting on Thursday, August 24th at 7:45 am for all Sophomores, Juniors and Senior student council members in Room 209.

There will be a Cross Country Informational Meeting on tonight, May 22nd at 6:00 pm in ACHS' cafeteria.  Please join us.

"CONGRATS Girls Track & Field Team! The ladies competed last week at STATE and their performances were outstanding!

- Epiphany Smith ran her second best times in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes placing 17th and 10th respectively
- The 4x200-meter relay team of Epiphany Smith, Addie Burris, Elizabeth Harla, and Tamya Dixon placed 14th overall and set a new Althoff Catholic school record

Also, other School Records this year included:
- Kaitlynn Borik: new school record in the 300-meter hurdles
- Epiphany Smith: new school record 200-meter dash and tied 400-meter dash - 4x200-meter relay

Congratulations to the following students for winning awards at the Art on the Square High School Exhibition. They are:
